About Me

I was born and raised in New York in a big Italian family. Food is like another family member in some Italian families and it was in mine! My parents both immigrated from Italy, and so we were always lucky to have delicious, fresh homemade food. My Dad is an avid gardener and my Mom and Grandma were great cooks. I learned to cook at a very early age and loved being in the kitchen with them.

I have always had a passion for nutrition. I love the science of how it works for our bodies. I truly believe that the way we eat sets a precedent for how we live. Whether its nutrition for athletics, general everyday life or for chronic illness, what we eat dictates how we live on so many levels.
